The Jordan LifeCare Centre is currently seeking a Registered Dietitian to assume the position of Interim Director of Nutrition and Support Services. The Jordan Lifecare Centre is a licensed 50-bed nursing home located in River Glade, N.B. (between Petitcodiac and Salisbury), where the goal is to provide the residents within the facility with dignified, safe, quality care.
The Director is responsible for the resident’s overall nutritional status and the nutritional education of staff and residents. They are also responsible for managing effective housekeeping and laundry services for the residents.
Regular Duties and/or Responsibilities
¨ Responsible for overall supervision of food preparation and services for residents and staff.
¨ Assess Residents' nutritional status and requirements upon admission, quarterly, and annually.
¨ Document nutritional care of all residents in their Medical Records according to established standards.
¨ Adapt menus to meet specific dietary orders, needs, and resident requirements.
¨ Ensure the menu follows Canada’s Food Guide to Healthy Eating for the senior population.
¨ Maintain standardization of recipes, portion control, and ensure correct food safety procedures are in place.
¨ Purchase food commodities, supplies, and equipment.
¨ Attend Resident Care Plan Conferences and Professional Advisory Committee meetings.
¨ Work collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary care team.
¨ Responsible for staff hiring, orientation and training, and supervision of full and part-time staff.
¨ Develop and maintain departmental Quality Assurance Programs.
¨ Prepare payroll information for the department.
¨ Supervise the overall operations of the Laundry and Housekeeping Department.
¨ Performs other related work as required.
Qualifications
¨ Bachelor's Degree in Foods and Nutrition – Major in Dietetics.
¨ A member in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Dietitians.
¨ Food Safety Handler’s Course.
¨ Some related work experience in the management of food and nutrition services.
¨ Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
¨ Mentally and physically capable of safely performing assigned duties.
¨ Demonstrated supervisory abilities.
¨ Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team setting with a minimum of supervision.

Positions Available: Temporary Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Purpose of Job:
To assist in providing Nursing Care under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing and/or Registered Nurse.
Duties:
Nursing duties and all other related duties
Qualifications:
· Graduate of an approved LPN course
· Current registration with the LPN Association of New Brunswick
· Experience working with the elderly an asset
· Able to work as an effective part of a team
· Good previous work record
· Physically able to perform assigned duties
· Current CPR
Salary Range:
As per the collective agreement (CUPE 4463)
Hours of Work:
12-hour rotating shifts which include weekends and holidays - subject to change.
